I live in Loveland Colorado which is only about thirty miles from Rocky Mountain National Park where I painted this one. It is virtually in my back yard and as you can see I visit throughout the year. I was inspired by the dark contrast of the backdrop of mountains and the bright sun on the foreground. This has been one of the most painted spots in the park for the last hundred years. I never get tired of the spot.
